The image models run server-side on hosted infrastructure, which is why a phone from four years ago gets the same result as a workstation. Nothing is computed on your device and there is no model download.
What OutfitGen is, and what it is not
The name is a common one in this category, so it is worth being exact about which product this is.
OutfitGen is a browser-based AI photo editor at outfitgen.ai. It runs in a web browser on desktop and mobile, with nothing to download, and there is no OutfitGen mobile app on any app store. OutfitGen is not affiliated with similarly named mobile apps or websites. You upload your own photo and describe the change you want: a new outfit, pose, background, hairstyle, makeup look, product shot, or art style. You can upload a garment photo as a reference, but OutfitGen does not connect to shopping accounts and does not import items from retailer product links.
- It is a visual preview, not a fitting service. OutfitGen does not know your measurements or a maker's pattern, so it cannot tell you your size.
- Results are generated, not photographed. Fine details like text on a garment, jewelry, and hands can come out wrong. Regenerating usually fixes it.
- One clear subject works best. Group shots, heavy occlusion, and very low light give the model less to work with.
- It edits what you ask for. Faces, body shape, and skin tone stay as they are unless changing them is the edit you requested.
Your photos
People upload personal pictures here, so the promise should be plain. Your photos and prompts stay private. We do not sell them, publish them, or use them in marketing without your permission, and we do not use them to train models. You can delete your generations from your account at any time.
Running OutfitGen does involve trusted processors: generation, hosting, analytics, email, and payments are handled by named vendors rather than by us alone. The privacy policy says exactly who does what, and the terms cover acceptable use.

Is OutfitGen a mobile app?
No. OutfitGen is a website. You open outfitgen.ai in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer and start editing. There is nothing to download and no OutfitGen app on the App Store or Google Play. If you find a mobile app using a similar name, it is not ours and is not affiliated with us.
Can OutfitGen pull an item from a shopping link?
No. OutfitGen does not connect to shopping accounts and cannot import products from a retailer URL. You can save a garment photo and upload it as a reference image, and OutfitGen will try to take its style, color, and shape into the new look.
Do I need an account to try it?
No! You get 3 generations with no account and no credit card. A free account adds bonus credits, and paid plans add more credits, Pro mode, and watermark-free output.
What happens to the photos I upload?
Your photos and prompts stay private. We do not sell them, publish them, or use them in marketing without your permission, and we do not use them to train models.
