Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

OutfitGen (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use outfitgen.ai (the “Service”).

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Uploaded images: Photos you upload for AI processing. Images are transmitted to our AI model provider (fal.ai) for processing, and generation records may retain hosted image references so you can view your history and so we can investigate abuse or technical issues.
  • Text prompts: Descriptions or instructions you enter for image editing.
  • Account and billing information: Email address, credit balance, subscription status, purchase records, and support or abuse communications.

Automatically collected information:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, generation attempts, generation counts, credits used, and similar product activity.
  • Analytics: We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics, including page views, feature interactions, and funnel analysis. PostHog may collect IP addresses and browser/device information.
  • Advertising identifiers: We use the Meta Pixel, a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Meta Pixel collects information about your visits to this site (including pages viewed and actions taken such as completing a generation, registering for an account, and completing a purchase) and shares this information with Meta for the purpose of measuring and optimizing our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
  • Log data: Server logs may include IP addresses, request timestamps, and error information for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service
  • To process your images using AI models
  • To improve and optimize the Service based on usage patterns
  • To monitor for abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service
  • To review abuse reports and enforce account or content restrictions
  • To measure and optimize our advertising on third-party platforms
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Image Data & AI Processing

Images you upload are sent to fal.ai (our AI infrastructure provider) for processing. fal.ai processes images according to their own privacy policy and terms of service. We recommend reviewing fal.ai's privacy policy at fal.ai.

We do not use your uploaded images to train AI models. Your photos and prompts stay private: we do not sell them, publish them, or use them in marketing without your permission.

5. Browser Storage & Cookies

We use browser localStorage, sessionStorage, and cookies for session state, attribution, checkout recovery, current tool drafts, product preferences, analytics, and abuse prevention. Tool drafts can keep your uploaded photo in your current browser tab so a checkout return does not wipe out your work. We may also track generation attempts on our servers so credits, free trials, rate limits, and abuse controls work consistently.

You can clear your browser storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

7. Data Retention

We retain account, billing, credit, and generation history records while your account is active and as needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and business records. When generation media is removed for abuse or legal reasons, we may retain non-media audit records showing what action was taken and why. Log data is retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes. Analytics data collected via PostHog is retained according to PostHog's data retention policies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your personal data
  • Data portability

To exercise these rights, contact us at: privacy@outfitgen.ai

9. Your California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have additional rights regarding their personal information. Our use of the Meta Pixel for advertising purposes may constitute “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA.

You have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can do so by:

  • Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser
  • Managing your ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences
  • Disabling tracking cookies through your browser settings
  • Contacting us at privacy@outfitgen.ai

When your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we suppress Meta Pixel advertising events and Meta Conversions API events from that browser or request where technically available.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
