OutfitGen Credit Pack or Plus: Which Should You Buy?

Published October 28, 2026 · OutfitGen Team

If you need paid credits for a short photo project, the question is not just which offer has the lower price per credit. It is whether you will use a monthly grant before it resets. OutfitGen currently sells a $5 pack of 75 credits and Plus for $6 a month with 100 credits each month. Pack credits do not expire; unused monthly plan credits do not carry over.

These are OutfitGen's own offers, not an independent comparison of photo editors. The prices and credit rules below were checked against the live product catalog and pricing page on October 26, 2026. Check the offer shown at checkout if either changes.

Decide by when you need the edits

The table counts paid standard generations, which the pricing page lists at one credit each. It excludes free credits, taxes, and any failed or retried generations. It is a budget illustration, not a prediction of how many attempts your photos will require.

Planned standard generationsCredit packPlus monthlyLower bill for this schedule
75 or fewer, onceOne 75-credit pack: $5One month: $6Pack
76 to 100, in one monthTwo packs: $10One month: $6Plus
40 this month and 35 next monthOne pack: $5Two billed months: $12Pack

The two-month example is where a per-credit comparison gives the wrong answer. Plus offers 100 credits for $6, or six cents per available credit if you use all of them. A 75-credit pack costs about 6.7 cents per credit. But 40 edits in the first month leave 60 unused Plus credits that do not roll into the next grant. A single pack can cover all 75 edits across those two months.

Conversely, if you know you will do 90 standard edits before the next monthly reset, buying two packs costs $10 for 150 available credits, while a month of Plus costs $6 for 100. The cheaper choice depends on the timing and the actual credits consumed, not on the word “subscription” or “pack.”

Check your editing mode before doing the math

OutfitGen's pricing page lists a standard generation at one credit and a Pro generation at two credits. Fifty Pro generations would use 100 credits if every attempt is charged at that rate. Do not treat a 75-credit pack as 75 Pro generations. If you need Pro mode itself, confirm which plan makes that feature available on the current pricing page; a pack's credit balance alone is not a promise of plan-only features.

Start by testing the clothes-changing tool on your own photo; the live homepage offers a first edit free without an account. Then estimate how many paid generations you need and in which month you will make them. A small, irregular project fits a nonexpiring pack. A concentrated month of more than 75 standard edits can make Plus cheaper. Neither choice guarantees that a particular edit will look right on the first attempt.
