OutfitGen Plus Annual vs Monthly: When Does Paying for a Year Cost Less?
Published October 26, 2026 · OutfitGen Team
OutfitGen Plus costs $6 for a monthly subscription or $58 for a year. Both options grant 100 plan credits each month. The annual option costs less than paying for ten or more separate monthly billing periods, but it does not put a year's credits into your account on day one.
The break-even calculation
This comparison uses the prices displayed on OutfitGen's pricing page on October 25, 2026. Multiply the $6 monthly price by the number of billed months, then compare that total with $58 paid for a year. It assumes the same Plus plan in either case and excludes taxes and any change in price.
| Months billed at $6 | Monthly total | Annual total | Lower price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | $36 | $58 | Monthly, by $22 |
| 9 | $54 | $58 | Monthly, by $4 |
| 10 | $60 | $58 | Annual, by $2 |
| 12 | $72 | $58 | Annual, by $14 |
That is a comparison of billed months, not a forecast of how often you will edit photos. If you are planning one short project and do not expect to keep paying for ten months, the annual discount may not make up for the upfront charge. If you already expect Plus to stay active for most of a year, the annual price is easier to justify.
The credit timing matters as much as the price
Annual Plus lists 1,200 credits for the year, but it grants 100 each month, not 1,200 immediately. Monthly Plus also grants 100 each month. OutfitGen's pricing FAQ says unused plan credits do not carry into the next month. Paying annually therefore changes the bill, not the size of any individual month's plan grant.
For example, a project requiring 150 plan credits in one month would exceed that month's 100-credit Plus grant under either billing period. Buying annual Plus does not let you borrow next month's grant for that project. Check the amount of work you expect in your busiest month before deciding based on the yearly total.
Which billing period fits?
Choose monthly billing if you want to pay for a limited number of project months or are still learning your pace. Consider annual billing if you expect at least ten billed months of Plus and can use the recurring monthly grant. Neither option makes unused plan credits roll over.
The figures here come from OutfitGen's public prices and credit rules checked on October 25, 2026, not from a claim about typical customer usage. Review the current Plus options before checkout; the checkout terms and prices shown there take precedence if they change.
