OutfitGen Pro vs Studio: When Is the Larger Plan Worth It?
Published October 30, 2026 · OutfitGen Team
OutfitGen Pro is $15 a month for 300 credits; Studio is $49 a month for 1,000. Both include Pro mode. If your photo project exceeds Pro's monthly grant, the choice depends on how many credits you need this month, not how many images you hope to keep. This is a comparison of OutfitGen's own plans, not an independent review.
Count attempts, not finished photos
The current pricing page charges one credit for a Standard generation and two for a Pro generation. With no retries, Pro's 300 credits cover 300 Standard attempts or 150 Pro attempts; Studio's 1,000 cover 1,000 Standard or 500 Pro attempts. A mixed batch uses one credit for each Standard attempt plus two for each Pro attempt.
For example, 100 Standard attempts and 125 Pro attempts use 350 credits. That is 50 past Pro's monthly grant, but nowhere near Studio's 1,000. The math counts generations, not approved final images. Leave room for iterations if you have a deadline, without assuming every prompt needs a fixed number of retries.
The small-project alternative: Pro plus packs
OutfitGen's public product catalog lists a 75-credit pack for $5. The pricing FAQ says pack credits do not expire; unused monthly plan credits do not roll over. If the pack is available to add to your Pro account at checkout, the following single-month budgets compare Pro plus the minimum whole number of packs against one month of Studio. Prices and credit counts were checked on October 29, 2026. Taxes, unused credits, and annual billing are excluded.
| Credits needed in one month | Pro plus 75-credit packs | Studio | Lower upfront bill |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 or fewer | $15, no packs | $49 | Pro |
| 350 | $20, one pack (375 available) | $49 | Pro plus pack |
| 750 | $45, six packs (750 available) | $49 | Pro plus packs |
| 751 to 825 | $50, seven packs (825 available) | $49 | Studio |
| 1,000 | $65, ten packs (1,050 available) | $49 | Studio |
The price crossover is 751 credits under these assumptions. That is 375 Pro generations plus one Standard generation, or another mix totaling 751 credits. At 750 credits, Pro plus six packs costs $45; the seventh pack pushes that budget to $50, above Studio's $49. Studio also includes priority processing and faster support according to the pricing page, but this comparison does not assign a dollar value to either.
There is a timing catch. Packs retain unused credits, so a 350-credit month followed by a quiet month is not equivalent to paying for Studio for two months. Conversely, Studio's 1,000-credit grant is useful for a recurring large batch only if you can use it before the next monthly reset. Buying the annual Pro option does not give you a year's worth of credits at once: the catalog specifies 300 monthly grants.
Before choosing
Estimate a month's Standard and Pro attempts, including some room for revisions. Use Pro if its 300 credits are enough. For a modest overage, check whether your account offers the nonexpiring pack; for a repeatable batch over 750 credits, compare Studio at the current checkout price. If the project is irregular, the carryover difference may matter more than the narrow one-month price crossover.
